VIDA 000 TRIPLE VISION 000 IGNITION FILMS 000 THE PRESENT 000 A HISTORY OF MY PROJECTS
For a few years after coming to Somerset I devoted my energies to Cinematography and shot in total 4 features, promos, commercials, shorts and live projects. It always seemed to me important that I had a thorough grasp of the medium which is why I didn't go immediately to Educational employment as many of my contemporaries did who now write the histories of the time which to my mind are completely unbalanced in their viewpoint. By 1998 I had written a few feature scripts and become involved in shooting a lot of drama so it was natural to start again in image making with Skin Deep which is a project where I receieved £50,000 production award from South West Screen and HTV.
In so doing I formed Ignition Films with Alison Sterling and we accomplihed several firsts: The Chamber of Demonstrations was a High Definition project about Jacobean Theatre where I managed to enable multi angle switching for the viewer. As time went on I made more and more art pieces and eventually received an AHRC Creative Research Fellowship at the drama department of Bristol University. The Present
