Shirley Pegna.

Shirley Pegna has had experience as a musician and composer with a wide range of artists and projects maintaining an interest in pioneering work. She has had a long relationship with Desperate Men, as well as instigating her own work, which ranges from......
- composing for Dance ( Disco Sister) Physical Theatre (Circomedia) and Puppets - (‘The Chatter Box’ by Pickled Image is opening at Bristol Old Vic on 17th March til 2nd April)
- to creating interventions and installations in a whole street with theatrical sound scapes – ‘Wildstreet in Foster Street’ in October 2004, involved the residents of Foster Street, Easton, with local groups and artists.
Shirley collaborated with the Cube Cinema and 4 Acres Early Years Unit in Hartcliffe, Bristol, for a research project - ‘5x5x5’ , and created a spoof radio station heard by a group of head teachers on a 150 mile coach journey to a conference (‘C.P. Radio’ ) - both examples of work with Creative Partnerships over the past year.
At the moment Shirley is Musical Director and a creative collaborator for the second of Desperate Men’s ‘State of the Nation’ trilogy - ‘The Miracle Show’ – an outdoor show set on the street with installations in a truck, a taxi ..............and a yurt.
